F. Lennox Campello sends in a second charcoal drawing: “This is a charcoal and conte on paper created in 2008 right around the time that Obama was beating Clinton in the primaries. It is currently at Projects Gallery in Philadelphia”
Julainne Sybil Sumich writes in: “I drew this sketch from Newsweek ‘s Special Commemorative Issue. I began in November 2008 and completed it on 13 January 2OO9. I think it captures Obama’s athletic intelligence and visionary mind. Materials used in this sketch: Black pencil, Black UB150, Black gouache, Coffee.”
This one came in from a reader “sd335908” with unfortunatly no information attached. It appears to be charcoal on canvas and centers Obama between a montage of mixed images – everything from an emerging butterfly to the a-bomb and Hitler. It makes me feel a bit overwhelmed. Not quite sure what the message is supposed to be.
