I am the Boss

Reader Halie sent pointed up to this great work on BenHeine’s Diviant Art page. The piece is titled “Bad Boy” after a poem by Peter S. Quinn: ” … I´m not a substitute for agent 007. Only awake up call to be taken seriously. I’ll give you a touch of my heaven. If you are behaving mysteriously. Because I´m a man in black. Pointing my future at you. Keeping you on the right track. Anything to get you here through…”

Reader Andrea sent us this really cute one she found on StrangeWeirdo’s Deviant Art page: “Things that should never happen”. We and apparently dozens of people on deviant art adore the drawing – which makes the artist’s comment even better: “haha if i’d known people were going to like this i would’ve put effort into it”

Here’s a cool one from Space Coyote: “Drawn the same night Barack Obama was elected to be the next President of the United States. A parody on the PS2 game Okami, wherein you play the Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu in the form of a wolf”

sent over a great mixed-media work: “Monotype Print made with Akua Kolor and Intalgio waterbased inks on Hahnemuehle monoprint paper and printed on an etching press. Sales tages were used for printing, embossing and collaging. Embossing highlighted with pencil drawing. Obama image added by ink transfer. Letters and numbers stencilled with ink. Meant to memorialize a momentous election.”
