Barack Obama Daily Painting #59 by Gayle Etcheverry

Thursday, March 19th, 2009 | No Comments »

Gayle is evidently on a missin to create a painting each and every day. An admirerable task. Now in the high 60’s, but #59 is the one that interests us: “This is my portrait of Barack Obama. I decided to paint it as one of my daily paintings. It took about 4 hours to create. It is an oil painting on 8″x10″ canvas.”

Very nice… is that even Obama?

Roberto sent is the following image with only this short description: “Here we see some graffiti in my hometown. It shows Obama toasting, while Palin is defeated.”

Spotted in photostream: “A celebration of history in the making. A history man. This art piece was created using traditional art techniques fused with illustrator files that i drew up then worked up in photoshop. The portrait was inspired by the works of the artist Shepherd Fairey and Jasper Johns.” Larger version inside…

Here we present another work from Dan Lacey. This piece features Obama, pie and an expression of happiness that puts the last painting in better perspective.  Barack must clearly  prefer lemon-meringue over pancakes!

Since everyone seemed to dig the work of  Dan Lacey, the famous “Painter of Pancakes” – we have decided to post more of his Obama inspired work. To start off here is a painting more in tune with what he is best known for:
