Reader Jean7 pointed to this yummy sculpture listed in a Fox News image gallery: “Norma Lyon touches up her butter sculpture of Democratic Presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama following a town hall style meeting by the candidate at South Tama Middle School in Toledo, Iowa. The bust was made from 23 pounds of butter. The stop was part of today’s scheduled five-city campaign swing in the central part of the state in an attempt to gather last-minute support before the January 3 caucus.”

Here, we present the second sculpture submitted by Liz Whelan. This one is a bit more subdue and does not seem to be kinetic in nature. Nonetheless, it is a very fine piece:  “Fired stoneware painted with acrylics and marble dust, 5 inches.”

According to his website, Sean Kenney “is a full-time artist who works exclusively with LEGO bricks. He hopes that children who see his work become inspired to create great things themselves.” I don’t know about the children, but I am feeling a bit inspired to pull the old legos out of the closet.
