The painting The Truth was to be unveiled in Union Square Park on President Obama’s 100th day in office. The art was meant as a political piece neither pro or anti Obama. Rather, it was meant to show by reaction to it how distorted our views are by our political prejudices. It created an uproar mostly by the religious right, who misinterpreted it as blasphemy and sent me over 4,000 emails. It was covered on national and international television, radio, print and blogs.
