Barack has been painted as a saint before, but we still really like Beth Consetta Rubel’s rendition: “Multimedia portrait depicting Barack Obama as a saint.” Jump inside to see the image in all of it’s majesty!
Over the past week, Robert Wagener has submitted 3 very similar versions of a poster that he has been working on that depicts Obama in a classic USSR propaganda style: ” My play on Obama’s policy, created in illustrator, 20X34″. Jump inside to see the others.
Reader Jennifer quickly sent in a rebuttal to that last piece of coffee art: “That’s nothing! check out this coffee that my friend sent me!” Very nice indeed. What was your friend’s name? All these images are making me want coffee!
We have been getting spamed for the past week from coffee/design company DeLonghi:”Judging by your site, you know that coffee is an integral part of life and culture”. Usually, I ignore these kinds of messages, but then I noticed that they did feature a bit of Obama art in this short video. Still, I like this coffee art better.
And another great painting, this time from Christopher Joseph Gonzalez: “It’s Acrylic on canvas 24″X 36″, I painted this painting during inauguration because of all the speeches that were going around I believed he was the one most out spoken, most entertaining to listen to, and could see that he wanted a new vision for our country.”
Anthony “Tonky” Clune sent in this great work: “I wanted to see President Barack H. Obama as a marble bust. So I created this piece using two colors of vinyl (ice blue and black) and applied them to an easy-to-hang grey metal panel (powder coated). I’ve decided to make this a very small edition of 20. Get yours early!”
